Easter 2009 Train

Yeah, we are a little behind. We went down to Chehalis to do the Easter train and the egg hunt. Kids had a blast. Here are some pictures. Of course we went with our neighbors, Jones.

Point Defiance Zoo

A couple of weeks ago Andrea Jones and I took the kids to the Point Defiance Zoo here in Tacoma for the day. Kids had a blast especially Erin.

Jacob loved looking at the starfish, however he didn't want to touch them at all. Isabelle on the other hand wasn't shy at all.

Erin was interested in anything that had to do with water. She loved the fish aquariam, the sharks, walrus, and the ducks. After the kids were done seeing the animals we went to a play area where they had water spouts. Both Jacob and Erin loved it.

She really did enjoy the water. This is here gasping for air, but then she would put her head back down waiting for the water to spout again. It was the funniest thing to watch. She was giggling and laughing. There were quite a few people just enjoying watching Erin having fun with the water. Not once did she wimper or cry, she just loved the water.

Overall, a very successful outing!!! Yeah.

Primary Activity - Nephi's Challene

We had a primary activity that we organized called Nephi's Challenge where the kids went "camping" and learned some of the lessons that Nephi and his family learned in the wilderness. The kids had a blast, we had tents and campfires (of course not real ones) and sleeping bags. After the activity the kids went to the gym to the land of "milk and honey." Here is a picture of Jacob with our neighbors; Isabelle and Collin.

One of the activities was learning about Nephi and his broken bow. We had a picture of a deer mounted on the wall and each child took a turn to shoot it with a bow and arrow. They loved it.

Erin's 1st Birthday

Erin's birthday was April 16th. Can't believe she is already a year old. She started walking around 11 months and is becoming quite the walker/runner. She has her big brother to keep up with. She had a great birthday.

Family Easter and Egg Hunt at Home

The next day we had our own egg hunt inside, since it was raining.

Easter Train Ride

On Saturday before Easter we went down to the Chehalis Train Station and rode their easter train. This is of course Jacob's favorite thing to do. Erin enjoyed herself too. The egg hunt was fun to watch. Erin wasn't quite sure about picking up eggs, but she was happy with just two; one for each hand.

Erin & Jacob growing up

Since Jacob loves to go bowling we went as a family a couple of weeks ago. Kevin & Erin just hanging out waiting for their turn.

Erin is trying so hard to walk. At 9 months she was mastering the walker and loving it.

Cute Erin waiting to be fed. 10 months

I took the kids to the Pacific Science center in Seattle in january and Erin enjoyed playing in their toddler area. 9 months

Dad and the kids. They were all enjoying playing on the computer with dad.

Jacob just being so silly. His favorite activity to do.

It is fun to watch Jacob bowl. He scores pretty good.

Disneyland Trip

We were able to go to Disneyland last week. It was a blast. We had 3 day hopper tickets and were able to enjoy most of it. Jacob loved most of the rides. There were a few that were "too scary" He didn't enjoy the Pirates of the Carribean because of it being so dark. He loved the autopia and Toontown. We had to go on the monorail and the disney train. Erin did fantastic. We were there from 9:30 am to 7pm most days and she was still smiling and happy at the end of the day. She enjoyed all the rides. i was amazed at how many rides I was able to take her on. She loved the haunted house. She just giggled and laughed throughout the ride. Her favorite ride was 'Its a small word" She was clapping and dancing to the music.

We are waiting at the airport to get onto the plane. Jacob was more interested in looking at the planes takeoff than he was with eating.

We stayed at a hotel that had a shuttle that went to Disneyland. This was a first day waiting for the shuttle to come pick us up to go to Disneyland. YEAH!!!!!

Jacob's favorite ride. I was able to go on with him once, the rest of the time he insisted that Daddy go with him.

We must have gone on this ride at least 10 times. I even took Erin with me a few times. Another one that Jacob just loved.

Jacob enjoying Toontown.

Jacob found the bumper cars at California Adventures. He loved it. The line was very short so he was able to get on several times in a row.

Jacob and Daddy on It's a Small World.

Jacob taking the wheel on Donald Duck's boat.

Erin being content!!! Yeah for very happy babies. However, we are paying the price for a happy baby. As soon as we got home on Friday, she got sick. I took her into the clinic on Sunday and she has RSV. She is pretty sick still, but hopeflly it will be a quick recovery.

Me and the kids. It was so nice to just hang out as a family with really no time schedule. We really had a great time.

We went to Long Beach on Thursday, Jacob had to build his sand castle. It was a little cold so we couldn't stay very long, but it was beautiful.

Kevin and the kids at the beach.

Jacob with his Mickey mouse ears. We were able to go to the restaurant that is inside of the Pirates of the Carribbean. We were in the front and were able to see the boats as they went through the ride. It was cool. The food was good, not fantastic. You pay for the experience, I guess.
